Acts 29
Harambee is part of the
Acts 29 Network, which exists to start churches that plant churches. God is significantly using our network to influence and shape the church planting culture through both rock-solid theology and contextualizing the gospel. We will not waver on either of these commitments. We won’t water down our theology to reach more people and we won’t attack the culture in the name of Christianity. We are planting churches that are missionaries in their respective communities sent by Christ with the gospel (John 20:21).
Regional Plants
While still in our infant stage, we sent out 20% of our members to help launch
Soma Church in Tacoma, WA in January of 2003.
We are also supporting Dave Fandey and his family, who are planting
The Fields Church in Carlsbad, CA near San Diego.
National Plants

Aaron Youngren, one of our pastors, and his family, is leading a team to seed a church planting movement called The Line in city-center Chicago. This effort will be a daughter church of Harambee and is looking to land in Chicago in January 2009. You can read more at
The Line and listen to the Elder's announcement to the Harambee body (video from the body meeting coming soon).
International Plants
We support Vision Nationals which seeks to train the Indian people to reach nationals, especially in areas where Churches were never established. They also house and educate 119 orphans to provide hope for their futures.
Currently, we are supporting three pastors from Nepal:
Samuel,
Bidur Singh and
Pemba Sherpa. We are also considering supporting Gabriel in the Congo.
