Winter 08 Update
We've made tremendous progress over the past two years and many of the major visible renovations are done (check out the photos), but there's still work to be done. Below is a list of our current needs. LCD for Communications Wall: $1000
Interior Directional Signage & Roof Sign: $2000
Recording Studio: $5000
Drinking Fountain: $750

Vision

Our dream is to become a redemptive community. Redemptive communities take root in a place (preferably a place where people exist and the gospel hasn’t already transformed the community) for the sake of being the church in mission. The building is not the church, the people are, but often times it is best to locate and stabilize the location in order to embody God’s love to a people group. Read More

How You Can be Involved

- Please pray for Harambee as we pursue the vision God has given us. Pray for wisdom, financial provision, and that this would be a tremendous opportunity for the gospel to advance in South King County.

- We are taking pledges and donations (above and beyond your regular and sacrificial giving/tithes) for the year for this vision (see finances section). If you haven’t been giving regularly and sacrificially, we ask that you touch base with God on that (see 2 Cor. 8 & 9) and begin there. Once you’ve done that, your support can be given as a one time gift, in installments over the course of the year (i.e. weekly or monthly), or a combination of both. Some people are giving a portion of their tax return while others are digging a little deeper each month or giving any extra income they may have.

- We also ask that you think and pray through your network of relationships to consider if any of them may want to partner with us in this vision.

- We will need volunteers for some of the improvements projects (usually on Saturdays, but throughout the week as well).
