Women
Throughout the book of Proverbs there are two types of women who are characterized: the wise woman and the woman of folly. In Proverbs 3:13-16, wisdom is personified as a woman, and in Proverbs 31 the abstract is made concrete in the description of one woman’s life.As young women, mature women, single women, wives, and mothers, we have a unique calling and a specific culture in which we live out and express the gospel: our jobs or schools, our homes, our children, their schools, and the unique relationships we have with each other. As Paul instructs in Titus 2:3, we gather as women to teach and to be taught in the ways of the Word and of life so that we will be women of wisdom, not folly.
Each woman is encouraged to participate in the Harambee community to achieve this goal. We study books of the Bible and have topical studies for groups and individuals in the daytime and evening. We focus on the Word of God and encouragement from each other to live out the gospel in our lives.
